Medical Care Program

Access to medical care and essential medicines remains a major challenge for individuals with limited resources in Nicaragua. Although government hospitals and health services are available at no cost, many crucial medications are not provided free of charge. To bridge this gap, HTHF works to make necessary medicines accessible to those who cannot obtain them on their own.

Through collaboration with the Franciscan Sisters, dedicated doctors provide medical consultations to impoverished communities at various mission sites. HTHF helps support these efforts by contributing to the doctors’ salaries and covering part of the cost of medicines for the populations we serve. In doing so, we ensure that vulnerable individuals receive the vital care they need—care that would otherwise be out of reach.
