This Sanctuary, part of the Diocese of Matagalpa in Nicaragua, features 18 Stations of the Cross leading up to the summit where the great Cross stands. It is truly an Oasis of Peace—a beautiful and serene place for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.

The Center of the Americas

The Sanctuary, located at the geographical center of the Americas, is dedicated to Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin of Guadalupe, Empress of the Americas.

Franciscan Friars of the Renewal

The chaplains of the Sanctuary are the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, who reside in the San Antonio Convent, located at the foot of the Mountain of Peace.
